Managing Lists: Creating, Uploading & Organizing Contact Segments

How to create lists, import contacts via CSV upload, search lists, and manage prospects within specific list cohorts.

Lists in SkySenders allow you to organize, segment, and group prospects into actionable cohorts before mapping them to outreach campaigns.

1. Creating a New List

To build a new contact group:

  • Navigate to Engagement → Lists in your left sidebar.

  • Click the blue + New List button in the top right corner.

  • Enter a recognizable name (e.g., "LinkedIn: GTM Cold Outbound", "Q4 Enterprise Inbound").

  • Save the list. It will immediately appear in your Lists directory ready for contact imports.

2. Adding Contacts to a List

Once inside a list (Lists → Overview), you have two options to populate prospects:

  • Manual Addition (Add Contact): Click the Add Contact button to input prospect details (First Name, Last Name, Email, LinkedIn URL) one at a time.

  • Bulk CSV Upload (Upload): Click the blue Upload button to import a CSV file containing hundreds or thousands of contacts. Map columns to First Name, Last Name, Email, LinkedIn profile, and custom personalization tags.

3. Searching & Organizing Lists

The main Lists dashboard provides clear operational telemetry:

  • Search list...: Quickly locate any list by name as your directory grows.

  • Total Contacts: Live counter showing the exact number of leads assigned to each list.

  • Last Updated: Timestamp recording the most recent modification, contact addition, or campaign sync.

  • List Action Menu (...): Click the three-dots menu on any list row to Rename the list, Export contacts to CSV, or Delete the entire list.

4. Managing Contacts Inside a Specific List

Clicking into any list opens the dedicated List Overview:

  • List-Specific Search: Search only among the contacts enrolled in this particular list.

  • Provider ESP Filter: Filter list members by their email provider (Gmail, Outlook, Zoho, etc.) to evaluate list composition before launching a campaign.

  • Bulk Selection Inside Lists: Select contacts within the list using checkboxes to trigger the bottom floating bar for bulk editing or selective deletion.
