The Settings tab of a domain allows you to configure advanced cryptographic DKIM selectors and set up a custom branded tracking domain for open and click tracking.
1. Adding DKIM Selectors
DKIM (DomainKeys Identified Mail) provides a digital signature verifying email sender authenticity. When connecting custom domains or third-party email providers, you may need to configure specific DKIM selectors:
Why Selectors Matter: A selector allows your domain to have multiple independent public keys for different email tools (e.g. Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, or SkySenders).
How to Configure: Click + Add DKIM Selector under the DKIM Selector section.
DNS Setup: Copy the provided selector name and public key string, and add them as a TXT or CNAME record in your DNS provider (Cloudflare, GoDaddy, Namecheap, Route 53, etc.).
Verification: Click Check Status to confirm your DKIM status flips from Fail to Pass.
2. Custom Tracking Domain (CNAME Record)
By default, outreach platforms use shared tracking domains to record email opens and link clicks. If other senders on a shared domain get marked as spam, your deliverability suffers. Setting up a Custom Tracking Domain isolates your brand reputation completely:
Benefits of Custom Tracking: All tracked links in your outreach emails appear as your own branded domain (e.g.
track.yourcompany.com) instead of a generic third-party domain, building prospect trust and bypassing aggressive spam filters.Step 1: Click Add CNAME: Click the + Add CNAME Record button under Custom Tracking Domain.
Step 2: Choose Subdomain: Choose a clean subdomain prefix (popular options include
track, link, orgo).Step 3: Update DNS: In your DNS management console, create a new CNAME record pointing your chosen subdomain to the SkySenders tracking endpoint.
Step 4: Verify & Activate: Once DNS propagation completes, SkySenders automatically provisions an SSL certificate and applies your branded tracking domain across all campaigns using this domain.
