Categories help organize your inbox, trigger automations, and measure campaign performance. In SkySenders, Reply Categorization serves two vital functions: categorizing leads inside the Unibox for rapid sales triage, and driving auto-categorization inside Campaign Settings to streamline multi-channel follow-ups.
1. Used in Unibox for Categorizing Leads: Inside the Unibox, every incoming message thread is labeled with its assigned category and color-coded sentiment badge (Positive, Neutral, Negative). Sales reps and SDRs can filter the inbox to isolate warm prospects (e.g. "Meeting Requested" or "Interested") and manually reassign categories if context evolves.
2. Used in Campaign Settings for Auto-Categorization: Under Campaign Settings, enabling Smart AI Categorization activates SkySenders natural language processing (NLP). The AI evaluates inbound email and LinkedIn responses, matches them against your workspace categories, and automatically executes rules—such as pausing follow-ups upon positive replies or adding contacts to suppression upon unsubscribes.
SkySenders includes 9 default active categories spanning Positive, Neutral, and Negative sentiment tiers:
Positive Sentiment (High Intent & Conversions): Meeting Requested (demo or calendar booked), Interested (enthusiasm shown), Needs More Information (technical or pricing questions), Follow Up Later (contact next quarter).
Negative Sentiment (Rejection & Suppression): Not Interested (outreach halted), Unsubscribe (automatically added to Workspace Suppression List).
Neutral Sentiment (Informational & Routing): Wrong Person (routed to colleague), Out of Office (vacation autoreply detected), Catch up Later (polite deferral).
You can create custom categories tailored to your organizations sales pipeline:
Step 1: Navigate to Workspace > Delivery Control > Reply Categorization.
Step 2: Click the blue "Create New Category" button in the upper right corner.
Step 3: In the "Add Reply Category" modal, enter the category Name * (placeholder: "Eg. Support, Sales, Marketing", or custom names like "Demo Booked", "Investor Inquiry", "Billing").
Step 4: Select the category Sentiment * from the dropdown: Positive, Negative, or Neutral.
Step 5: Click "Save Reply Category". The new category will immediately be available in Unibox thread headers and Campaign Settings.
Search by Name: Use the "Search reply category" bar to quickly filter your category list.
Active Status: Review the Status column to ensure required categories are active across your workspace.
Manual Unibox Overrides: If an incoming email has nuanced context, reps can open the thread in Unibox and select a different category from the header dropdown to update lead status and CRM sync instantly.
Automation Tip: Combine Reply Categorization with Workspace Webhooks to trigger real-time Slack notifications or CRM deal stage updates whenever a lead is tagged with Meeting Requested or Interested.
