⚡ Building Multi-Channel Sequences, Delays & A/B Testing

Master the sequence builder in SkySenders Outreach: orchestrate Email and LinkedIn steps, configure smart delay conditions, set up A/B testing variants, and establish exit triggers.

SkySenders' multi-channel sequence builder allows you to orchestrate email touches and LinkedIn actions in a unified visual timeline. This guide covers supported step types, delay configurations, condition-based branching, and A/B testing.

Supported Sequence Step Types

  • EMAIL: Dispatches an outbound cold email using your connected sender mailboxes. Supports rich text, attachments, dynamic variables, and custom tracking.

  • LINKEDIN_VISIT_PROFILE: Automatically views the lead's LinkedIn profile. The lead receives a 'Someone viewed your profile' notification, creating curiosity before your message arrives.

  • LINKEDIN_CONNECTION_REQUEST: Sends a LinkedIn connection request with an optional personalized invitation note (up to 300 characters). Can be configured to send without a note if note restrictions are reached.

  • LINKEDIN_MESSAGE: Sends a direct message on LinkedIn. Executes automatically once the connection invitation is accepted.

  • LINKEDIN_INMAIL: Sends a direct InMail message to prospects who have Open Profile enabled, bypassing the connection requirement.

  • LINKEDIN_LIKE_POST: Automatically likes the lead's most recent post to demonstrate active engagement.

Configuring Delays & Condition Branching

Between each sequence step, you can define precise delay intervals and conditional rules:

  • Delay Units: Choose between Minutes, Hours, or Days (e.g. wait 2 days before the next step).

  • Condition Triggers: Branch the sequence based on lead activity: EMAIL_OPENED, EMAIL_CLICKED, EMAIL_REPLIED, or LINKEDIN_CONNECTION_ACCEPTED.

  • Timeout Triggers: Define a timeout period (e.g. wait 3 days for LinkedIn connection; if not accepted, route to the fallback Email branch).

A/B Testing Variants & Spintax

Optimize your campaign reply rates by testing multiple copy variations:

  • Step Variants: Add up to 5 variants (Variant A, Variant B, Variant C) per email step with different subject lines, value propositions, or calls to action.

  • Spintax Variations: Use syntax like {Hi|Hello|Hey} {{firstName}}, {hope you're having a great week|reaching out because...} to ensure no two dispatched emails are identical.

  • Distribution Styles: Choose between RANDOM (random distribution) and PATTERN (predictable cyclic rotation across leads).

Campaign Exit Rules & Deliverability Controls

  • Stop Contact When: Set sequence exit triggers: ON_REPLY (default), ON_CLICK, or ON_OPEN.

  • Company-Level Reply Stop: Enable stop_contact_on_company_level_reply so that when one prospect at an organization replies, outreach to other colleagues at the same company is automatically halted.

  • Bounce Rate Auto-Pause: Set a safety threshold (e.g. 5%). If campaign bounces exceed this limit, SkySenders automatically pauses the campaign to protect your domain reputation.
